The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation is the fundraising arm of South Australia’s Flinders Medical Centre (FMC). The FMC, co-located with Flinders University, has earned an international reputation as one of Australia’s finest public teaching hospitals and as a centre for research excellence.
More than 3,500 skilled FMC staff provide services to people across Australia, from Darwin in the Northern Territory to Mount Gambier in South Australia's south east.
Through the generosity of the community, the FMC Foundation is able to support the FMC in many ways including vital equipment purchases and upgrades, and providing research scholarship and grants opportunities for the more than 400 leading medical researchers based at Flinders.
The FMC Foundation has also been the driving force behind the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer incorporating the LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre – Australia’s first integrated research and patient care Centre with a focus on cancer prevention.
